In a world where love should transcend borders and identities, it is devastating to witness restrictions that prevent one human from comforting another in their most vulnerable moments.
As I write this, I reflect on the immense grief of last weekend—a very close friend in the United States lost his young wife to cancer, leaving behind a young daughter in heartbreaking sorrow.
The weight of it was heavy and paralyzing, stretched across time zones as I tried to offer my presence, my words, my support. But distance—both physical and systemic—became an invisible barrier, preventing me from standing beside him during his darkest hours. U.S. policies, after much consultation, made it clear: attending, even just to be there for his wife’s funeral, would be unsafe.
My identity, my advocacy, the very essence of who I am, became an obstacle to human connection.
And yet, I am not stopped. The pain was transformed—woven into art, coaching, poetry, into music, into a language that transcends restrictions and borders. Creating music and tribute poems for my lovely friend.
Because when the world says you cannot, we answer with we create!
In the face of adversity, repression, and personal grief, the creative spirit persists—unshaken, undeniable, and defiant in its beauty. Pride is not just a season marked in June; it is a continuous, unwavering affirmation that our voices, our stories, and our art will always find ways to break through, to reach, to heal.
This is one reality we continue to appear face—where identity, advocacy, and existence itself become barriers to simply being human.
And yet, despite the challenges, despite the profound sense of loss, there is something remarkable that happens when life pushes back: we create, we build, we transform. What has been taken or broken fuels something greater, something new. And it is that that I choose to focus upon. I focus upon the reality I would like to see created.
I refuse to dwell upon the existing reality, even when it seems to set itself firmly in front of me.
For those of you who are familiar with my coaching as a quantum energy coach and law of attraction coach, you'll understand when I say that the current reality is old news.
It is formed from the previous thoughts and feelings, and then vibrational attitude and actions taken to bring us to the current point that we call reality.
However, we are now creating the next reality. And it is that that I choose to focus upon.
I know our community is building something bigger, better and brighter for the future.
In every era, whenever oppression tries to dim the light of progress, something more profound emerges—more resilient, more powerful, more unbreakable.
